recorded spring 2002-spring 2003. Everything was played and recorded through a Boss-BR532 digital 4-track recorder. I had no idea what I was doing. I probably still don't but confidence likes to do its own thing every now and then. I do know that I was tired of shelling out a lot of money for rushed ambivalence in recording studios. While everything was tracked one instrument at a time, I do recall that I was using one mic for everything. One mic for a drum set is hard to pull off well. For a reference check, Amy Winehouse, "Rehab" to see how to mic a drum set effectively. This seemed like another lifetime ago. As I mentioned previously, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. Mixing down was literally the process of making sure the levels were appropriate when bouncing tracks. These were fun, strange, painful times. I was coming to terms with some realities. I was sorting out how not to be what I was slowly becoming. This was 20 years ago.
